Shadowrun 5E x2

Shadowrun 5E x2

Monday 6 July 2020
In July 2020 we presented two offers — one revived, one all-new — featuring the 2013 Fifth Edition of Shadowrun, the cyberpunk-fantasy RPG from Catalyst Game Labs. We revived the February 2019 SR5 Essentials Bundle with the core 5E rulebook and key supplements — and its new companion, SR5 Lethal Streets, added recent rules expansions and Sixth World sourcebooks that get your runners into even deeper trouble on the mean streets of 2081.

Shadowrun Fifth Edition is the 2013 version of one of the most popular and successful roleplaying worlds ever — a fusion of man, magic, and machine in a dystopian high-tech, high-magic future. You are a shadowrunner, thriving in the margins, doing the jobs no one else can. You can survive, even flourish, as long as you do what it takes. Sacrifice part of your soul for bleeding-edge gear. Push the limits of your will with new and dangerous magic. Wire yourself into the Matrix, making your mind one with streams of data. It’ll cost you something — everything does — but you can make it worth the price. You are whatever you make yourself. Will you seek justice, sow seeds of chaos, sell out to the highest bidder? It’s up to you. This much is certain: If you do nothing, the streets will eat you alive.

With all the rulebooks and key supplements for character creation, magic, combat, Matrix hacking, rigging, and the nightmare-machine of 2081, these two offers provided everything you need to face the challenges of the Sixth World.

SR5 Lethal Streets, the new companion to the revived February 2019 Shadowrun 5 Essentials, extended Fifth Edition campaigns with rules expansions and setting sourcebooks for advanced Matrix running, con games, enhanced combat, and the sprawling shadows of 2081. There were three titles in this offer’s Starter Collection (retail value $65) as DRM-free .PDF ebooks, including No Future (Fifth Edition version), Neo-Anarchist Streetpedia (technically for Sixth Edition but rules-agnostic), and Better Than Bad, which lets your shadowrunners fight for justice and bring good into the world. (Who let that happen?)

Those who paid more than this offer’s threshold (average) price also got this offer’s entire Bonus Collection with five more titles worth an additional $105, including the combat options expansion Street Lethal, the Matrix expansion Kill Code, Cutting Aces, Hard Targets, and The Assassin’s Primer.

[from February 2019]

Revived from February 2019, the Shadowrun 5E Essentials Bundle had the core rulebooks and key supplements. There were three titles in this revived offer’s Core Collection (retail value $65), including the complete Shadowrun 5E core rulebook (Master Index Edition), plus the free 5E Quick-Start Rules and Character Conversion Guide; the player’s book, Run Faster; and the augmentation catalog Chrome Flesh.

This offer’s entire Bonus Collection added four more titles worth an additional $100 — the rules expansions for magic (Street Grimoire), the Matrix (Data Trails), and riggers (Rigger 5.0). For this revival we added the advanced combat supplement Run & Gun, originally part of the February 2019 SR5 Runs and Guns offer — and those who purchased this Essentials collection during its original run received Run & Gun automatically on their Wizard’s Cabinet download page and in their DriveThruRPG Library. When you buy a Bundle of Holding early, you never worry about missing a title added later — even much later.

Ten percent of each payment (after gateway fees) went to these two Shadowrun offers’ pandemic-related charity, Direct Relief. Direct Relief gets protective gear and critical care medications to health workers, with emergency deliveries daily to medical facilities across the US and to regional response agencies across the world.
