In June 2023 the all-new BattleTech Shrapnel Quick Deal presented ten digital issues of The Official BattleTech Magazine from Catalyst Game Labs, Shrapnel. Each quarterly issue of Shrapnel gives you technical readouts, equipment, unit digests, playable scenarios, background articles, and more – the edge BattleTech board game players and roleplayers need to triumph in BattleMech combat on the war-torn battlefields of the 31st Century. Each issue also includes BattleTech fiction by veteran authors like Michael A. Stackpole and by promising new recruits.
Shrapnel originated in Catalyst’s fabulously successful July 2017 Clan Invasion Kickstarter (11,277 backers, US$2.58M). As part of the $2M stretch goal, the BattleTech team committed to publishing a new magazine, “envisioned as a blend of MechForce Quarterly meets BattleTechnology. New fiction, scenarios, and more, and all officially in canon!” Catalyst released the first issue of Shrapnel to campaign backers in May 2020 and has kept a regular schedule since. Last week Shrapnel reached its fourth year of publication with the new Issue #13. This Quick Deal gathered the first ten issues of Shrapnel in multiple ebook formats – more than 2,100 pages of material – as DRM-free ebooks in .PDF, ePub, and Kindle formats.
