Introduced in Frostborn (the first novel in Lou’s Thrones & Bones trilogy), Norrøngard is a cold, harsh realm inspired by Norse myth and Scandinavian folklore – a land beset by undead horrors, marauding trolls, mercurial spirits, and monstrous beasts. Threats mount from within and without, and the barbarism of ancient days may soon return. While the great dragon Orm Hinn Langi appears to sleep, younger linnorms across the land vie for the title “King of All Serpents.” Meanwhile, encased in his prison of eternal ice, Vandrvargr, the great wolf, schemes for his release – a freedom that some say heralds the end of the world.
In this challenging environment, heroes emerge to perform deeds worthy of the skalds. Earn your honor exploring the heights of the Ymirian Mountain Range and the dark Raven’s Wood. Risk all to gain the knowledge of rune magic. Contend with powerful vaettir in the mysterious Wyrdwood, or brave the caverns of Svartálfaheim.
