In January 2020 we presented the new Rifts® Minion War Bundle with its epic five-supplement chronicle of cross-dimensional demonic annihilation across Rifts Earth and the Palladium Books Megaverse. And we also revived (for a third time) the July 2017 Rifts Essentials Bundle with the core rulebook and major supplements for Kevin Siembieda‘s Rifts RPG.

1. Rifts Minion War [new]

The demons of Hades plan dimensional conquest of their arch-rivals in the Hell known as Dyval. After an incursion into the setting of Palladium’s Heroes Unlimited superheroic RPG, the Minion War spills onto Rifts Earth, and the epicenter of the invasion is North America. Hellspawned armies by the tens of thousands cross the dimensional divide, unleashing plagues, seeking out magic artifacts, and building Hell Pits so they can unleash Hell on battleground Earth.

Unusually in Palladium history, the Minion War line supports many of the company’s game lines. The five-supplement sequence ultimately lets Rifts player groups create mixed parties of characters who would otherwise be ideologically opposed, but now fight side-by-side for the greater good. For the first time in history, the Coalition States, Northern Gun, the Manistique Imperium, Lazlo, New Lazlo, the Cyber-Knights, Lemurians, Free Quebec, D-Bees, mages, and many others stand together against a common enemy. Meanwhile, the Splugorth of Atlantis, Archie Three, and the Vanguard engage in their own shadow war against the invading demon hordes — and each other.

This new offer’s Starter Collection presented DRM-free .PDF ebooks of the complete five-supplement Minion War sequence (retail value $66.50), including Hades, Pits of Hell and Dyval, Hell Unleashed (plus the Hades & Dyval Map Pack); Dimensional Outbreak (previously presented in the April 2019 Phase World Bundle); Armageddon Unlimited (previously in the February 2018 Heroes Unlimited Bundle); and the climax of the sequence, Megaverse in Flames.

Those who paid more than this offer’s threshold (average) price also got this offer’s entire Bonus Collection with six more titles worth an additional $63.50, including the popular Rifts Conversion Book One (Revised) and Conversion Book Two: Pantheons of the Megaverse; the first Dimension Book, Wormwood; the Coalition States character sourcebook Heroes of Humanity, and two more sourcebooks repeated from the Phase World offer, Heroes of the Megaverse and Naruni Wave 2.

2. Rifts Essentials
[from July 2017]

This July 2017 Rifts Essentials Bundle (previously revived in July 2018 and April 2019) provided an easy entry into the reality-bending setting of a shattered Earth that forms the main backgrop of the Minion War.

Rifts is set centuries in the future. Magic energy has flooded back to Earth, fracturing space, tearing through reality, and opening doors to supernatural realms, strange dimensions, and alien worlds. From these portals emerge mythical gods and Elemental creatures, hordes of demons and monsters, dragons and creatures of magic, Shadow Beasts and the undead from dimensions of darkness, and aliens from countless realms.

Earth itself has become an alien landscape where the people, cultures, technologies, and madness of countless alien worlds and realities collide with our own. It is an environment simultaneously familiar and alien, wondrous and horrifying. The magical, supernatural, and alien may come to you, or you may find them. Technology and science co-exist and clash with magic and psychic power. Robot warriors and power-armored troops battle dragons, demons, and magicians. The setting is one of constant change, conflict, horror, wonderment, magic, and endless possibilities.

This Essentials offer had the core rulebook and key basic supplements — everything you need to start adventuring across the rift-ravaged Earth. This offer’s Starter Collection included the complete 384-page Rifts Ultimate Edition™, the Rifts Primer, and the very popular Sourcebook One™ — a $33.50 retail value for just $8.95.

This Essentials offer’s Bonus Collection added three more supplements worth an additional $45.50, including the Game Master Guide equipment collection, the Book of Magic,™ and the Game Master Kit with useful play aids and pregenerated characters.

Ten percent of each payment for these two Rifts offers (after gateway fees) went to the charity designated by Palladium Books, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
