In March 2023 we presented the Clement Sector 3E Bundle featuring the 2021 Third Edition of Clement Sector, the 24th-Century space opera SFRPG from Independence Games that uses the Cepheus Engine based on the First Edition of Mongoose Traveller. Set in a distant space sector stranded after a wormhole collapse, Clement Sector has grown and matured through three editions to become one of the largest and best-supported lines based on this popular open license. In 2210 scientists discovered a wormhole allowing travel to the opposite side of the Milky Way Galaxy. Once across, exploration teams discovered worlds far more suited to human habitation than those in star systems nearer to Earth. Were they terraformed by some unknown race? Over the ensuing years nations and corporations began to colonize these worlds. In 2331 the wormhole collapsed, cutting off Clement Sector from Earth. Now these new worlds and civilizations must stand on their own. The setting presents a more gritty yet approachable space opera than the massive and feudalistic Third Imperium of Traveller. The higher tech levels are not yet developed, and no Imperium enforces stability. There’s a lot of frontier to explore, and ambitious characters can shape the course of the Sector.
We presented the 2016 Second Edition of Clement Sector in April 2018. This all-new Clement Sector 3E Bundle featured the hugely expanded Third Edition (2021) standalone rulebook with the complete Cepheus Engine rules and a detailed lifepath character generation system, as well as a handy NPC generator. Detailed maps show all 16 subsectors in Clement, as well as subsectors from the adjacent Ariel and Tranquility Sectors. The rulebook also presents deckplans, art, and statistics for six common spacecraft, and the rest of this offer’s recent expansions and sourcebooks add many starships and character careers.
