In April 2023 we presented the all-new Airship Daedalus Quick Deal featuring Airship Daedalus, the deco-punk RPG from Deep7 Press of 1920s pulp adventure a la Indiana Jones, The Rocketeer, Sky Captain, and The Mummy. In an alternate Modern Age that never was, operatives of AEGIS need hardboiled courage against overwhelming odds as they fight to free the world from the secret cult of the Silver Star. Chart a course for two-fisted excitement as a pilot, explorer, soldier, scientist, pirate, entertainer, occultist, masked avenger, and more.
The Airship Daedalus roleplaying game is just one part of a multi-faceted media property – novels, comics, even audio serial dramas – from creator Todd Downing. Set in an alternate history that largely avoids the social foibles of our own 1920s, Airship Daedalus casts you as a field operative, academic, or strike team leader for the American Enterprise Group for International Security (AEGIS). Daedalus focuses on the key pulp elements of danger, excitement, adventure, and hardboiled courage against overwhelming odds.
Airship Daedalus uses the XPG rules, a simple 2d6-based stat+skill roll-under system that emphasizes “cinematic grittiness.” Though adventures may be full of sweeping heroism and larger-than-life deeds, the effects of actions are relatively realistic. A single sword blow to an enemy’s skull can kill. The same heroes who are raiding tombs and slaying monsters one day may later bleed to death while brigands loot their belongings.
This all-new Airship Daedalus Quick Deal had everything you need to discover lost cities, battle ancient horrors, and thwart the machinations of secret societies bent on world domination. There were six titles in our Daedalus Collection (retail value $42) as DRM-free .PDF ebooks, including the complete Airship Daedalus RPG core rulebook (plus the free Automaton expansion); the AEGIS Field Manual and AEGIS Vigilante Team Resource Guide; the globe-spanning setting sourcebook Under the Surface; the Solar System-spanning AEGIS Interplanetary Guidebook; and the lost-world sourcebook Valley of the Mist.
